“You always do better and have more fun when you don’t practice.” —My mom, who doesn’t necessarily speak runner, but who is absolutely right. I had an awesome time running the njmarathon Half Marathon yesterday, and am so psyched to be feeling such a runner’s high today! Thanks to all the race organizers, volunteers, and spectators for making it such a wonderful day for us runners. Thanks to my friends who came out to cheer. (Thanks to danisturtz for the fun running shot!) Thanks to Ellie for licking all that salt off my face afterward. Thanks to boldceo for always being the best, most selfless, most incredible race sherpa, spectator, supporter, chauffeur, and fan. (WTF why am I crying right now???) And thanks to my littlest, navel orange-sized running buddy for letting me have all kinds of fun this weekend. Can’t wait to meet you in six-ish months and to tell you about the time we bopped around together for 1 hour 58 minutes and 33 seconds! (If this cheese-fest wasn’t long enough, full #njmarathon race recap over at Ali on the Run.)
