When I became editor in chief of dancespirit, my first photo shoot was with the ridiculously talented cast of Broadway's newsies. It was an amazing shoot and became one of my favorite covers ever. (Those boys can MOVE!) Last night, the original Broadway cast of newsies reunited for a one-night-only performance that was filmed live at the Pantages Theater in L.A., to be shown in movie theaters next year. (!!!) And I got to be there! I only cried five times during the show, plus for the duration of the curtain call. jeremymjordan was an even dreamier Jack Kelley than I remembered, the show earned two mid-act standing ovations, and the energy in the theater was palpable. The only things missing were my four favorite Newsies: rysteele, alexdwong, aaronjalbano, and ephsykes. Thank you to my favorite brenpadg for having me at the show. It was a night to remember for sure. #newsiesforever #workperks #newsies
