"Working as a research assistant in the biochemistry lab has been an enriching experience that has exposed me to the environment of working in a lab setting full-time. Not only did I get a deeper scientific understanding of my project, but I also had the opportunity to design procedures and learn how to approach each situation systematically while always being ready for unexpected outcomes that may arise. My time at the lab has underscored the significance of adaptability and problem-solving. Not only did it expand my scientific skill set, but also equipped me with transferable skills such as team collaboration, critical thinking and adaptability that are necessary in every workplace."
