Look carefully at this photo. You might see a bodybuilder. But you don’t directly see what it took to get there. Who it took to get there. In the background are the real people putting in the work. mrgville making time for me each weekend to perfect my posing and bring me up to his level. That’s why I love this sport. It connects me to people like Otis, who of course I look up to from a physical standpoint, but it’s so much more than that. Otis shows me determination, humility and just how to be a damn decent person. And a little more off to the side is lauradominguez_ . She spends countless hours helping me cook, clean, take twice weekly check in photos and still goes with me to the gym to film my posing practice on her day off. I love these two people. I fully know I wouldn’t stand where I’m at without these two at my back. Thank you.
