## Caption

Did you catch the eclipse today?⁣
 ⁣
In this photo taken on April 8, 2024, the Moon is seen passing in front of the Sun, with the top of the Washington Monument in silhouette, during a partial solar eclipse in Washington, D.C. ⁣
 ⁣
A total solar eclipse swept across a narrow portion of the North American continent from Mexico’s Pacific coast to the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada. A partial solar eclipse was visible across the entire North American continent along with parts of Central America and Europe. ⁣
 ⁣
Image description: During the partial eclipse, the Sun appears in a crescent Moon shape in a dark sky as clouds pass in the lower part of the image. Below the Sun is the dark silhouette of the Washington Monument, pointing upward toward the eclipse. ⁣
