Today's the day! It’s #DayOfGiving, and we're celebrating the incredible impact of band on our lives. Members of our A-State family have shared with us how band has “built” the foundations for their personal lives.

Sharing their story is Austin Crouse. 

“Band saved my life. It’s where I found myself and my current family. In middle school and early high school I was going through a hard time. The only place I felt like I could be me and be my true self was when I was in band. It gave me an outlet for all these new emotions I had and gave me a way to express myself. I met some of my closest friends in band. The people who I consider family. The people who help me get through college and life in general. I believe that if it weren’t for band I wouldn’t be here and I definitely wouldn’t be the person I am today.”
