#TBT to the 2017 Chicago Marathon. Since our Team Reeve members would have been getting ready for their Chicago Marathon this Sunday, we wanted to take a look back to three years ago with Erica Bazerkanian.

Dear Dad, I now understand as a parent we worry our words of wisdom and life coaching sometimes get lost on our kids.  I can assure you I heard you, and today I lived it.  You told us to aim high, know no barriers and put the hard work in to achieve our goals.  Today my goal was to finally run a sub 4 hour marathon and I did just that!  3:58:26 through downpours and wind, but knowing I had trained for it and you were with me.

You also taught us to help others who need it.  In your brave fight after your spinal cord stroke you still thought of others and wanted to bring help and hope to those who suffered the same tragedy.  Dad, thanks to all those who cared about you and generously support me, so many thoughtful big hearted people, our little team of 3 #IAMSTONE members raised more than $10,000 for Team Reeve. Today we ran for those who are unable in the hopes that one day they can.  We will make a difference. 

Today you were the wind at my back and constant source of strength in my heart.  You’re constantly guiding me.  I listened!

Thanks to mom and my truly amazing supportive husband who were up and down the course to cheer me on.  We did it!
