"On December, 31, 2015, I was doing what I loved -- playing hockey with my team, the Boston Pride, at the Women’s Winter Classic. In an instant, my life changed and I was being carried off the ice with a spinal cord injury. While at the hospital, the Reeve Foundation mobilized a network of support and resources. They instantly became an extension of our family. Everyone asks me how I keep smiling, but it's really tough to not smile when the whole world is on your side.
