🌗 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙀𝘾𝙇𝙄𝙋𝙎𝙀🏃

Cadets from #USAFA's physics and astronomy club traveled to Hamilton, TX and McLeansboro, IL, to support nasa’s research on the sun's corona 🌞, which studies the outer layers only visible during a total eclipse. Their #research of solar activity and its impact on technology, including satellites and GPS communications, will support NASA's Citizen Continental America Telescopic Eclipse next-generation equipment and the Eclipse Mega Movie Project.
 
Cadets on campus experienced the eclipse at 67.7% obscuration.
