“Mom first heard about @livelikeroofoundation and when she was working at @nashvillehumane and they gave us treat bags for an event! Mom immediately thought the little puppy on the bag looked just like Vesper.

When she looked about “Live Like Roo”, her eyes immediately filled with tears. Live Like Roo supports dogs and families of dogs who have cancer in honor of rescue dog Roo, who passed away from cancer in 2015. Mom thought it was an amazing way to honor an amazing dog — she never thought she’d have to use it.

It’s been nearly a week since we got Vesper’s diagnosis. After we did, Mom wasted no time looking up resources on how to keep her comfortable yet still fulfilled. She asked her blind dog support group on Facebook for a bucket list for a blind dog who was just diagnosed with cancer. Many of the pawrents in that group suggested she check out @livelikeroofoundation. And she did.

Vesper got her care package today filled with snacks, toys, a tennis ball (one of her faves), a blanket to keep her cozy, and some bucket list recommendations!
