We told you yesterday about the special connection Dream Kid Luke shares with Ladder 4 of gastoniafire and now Ladder 4 of fdny. These every day heroes put their life on the line daily to put out fires and protect their cities, but yesterday the firefighters of FDNY Ladder 4 had a big impact on Luke’s life in a different way. ❤️🚒

It started with a visit to the nycfiremuseum led by former Ladder 4 member and retired firefighter of 28 years, Billy Carlson. When the towers were hit on 9/11, Billy was right there with his guys to help. He worked in the rubble for 3 months and helped rebuild Ladder 4. To say he was the best guy for Luke’s tour is an understatement. .

Dream Kid Luke enjoyed his VIP tour of the museum and then it was off to Ladder 4 where he was greeted like a member of the team. This crew did everything to make Luke’s visit special, even cooking him and his family a firehouse meal! 😋 Our Dream Kids all have sports idols that they look up to and for Luke it’s the Yankees, but that’s not all for him. He also idolizes the members of the fdny and yesterday was a moment he’ll never forget. Thank you, Ladder 4, for welcoming Luke and his family with open arms and big ❤️s. .
