A strong connection is something that leaves a permanent mark on your soul and to say that Dream Kid Luke has a strong connection with the men of the gastoniafire (𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟰) is an u͟n͟d͟e͟r͟s͟t͟a͟t͟e͟m͟e͟n͟t͟. He bakes them cookies (Luke loves to be in the kitchen!), he visits the firehouse, they made him his own white Captain’s hat… there is a 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱 there. 🤜👨‍🚒🤛

When Luke realized his Dream Experience would take him to NYC, he instantly expressed a desire to visit the 911memorial. Luke knows that the New York City Fire Department (fdny) suffered a devastating loss on September 11. He also knows that for the firefighters of FDNY #engine54ladder4battalion9 the loss was significant… 15 of the brave souls were among the first responders to reach the World Trade Center and none of them made it back. Once arriving at the South Memorial Pool, of all of the names on the Memorial, 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟰’𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲.
