A transfer student from Charleston Southern University and now serving as a Transfer Mentor, Emily recommends taking a risk and putting yourself out there when establishing new connections on campus. “I tell them, ‘just do it – just throw yourself out there and take that leap. You’re already out of your comfort zone by coming to a new college anyway, so just embrace it. And if you do that, when the next obstacle comes along, at least you’ll have someone to help guide you through it.’” 👏
