Back in 2021 Vaporeon, a water-type Pokémon, was appointed by Japan’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as an ambassador for ‘Water Day’. 

In Japan, ‘Water Day’ is a day to learn about and highlight the importance of water systems, resources, and conservation.
