We are so proud of these guys for setting fear aside and taking on nhsca Nationals this weekend. These kids went to one of the toughest tournaments in our country this weekend. They did this on their spring break. When most were thinking of getting out of school and the fun they would have on break, these guys made a choice to go to work to better themselves. They made this choice knowing it was putting themselves in a very tough position. They knew they would face the best of the best. I hope they made this choice knowing...you have to test yourself against the best if you wanna be the best. With that said, I was happy they showed up, but they didn’t just show up...they “competed.” All 5 guys wrestled tough in all their matches. None of them let the moment be bigger than they could handle. We were super proud to be in their corner. It is kids like these that will grow our program the right way. We may be one of the smallest wrestling programs in SC but we are going to show up and compete. I saw our kids learn at this tournament and that is what it is all about. Guys, we’d like to just thank you for accepting the challenge and competing tough. You represented yourself, your coaches and your school very well. Hold your head up high and be proud that you accepted a challenge. Don’t be satisfied with the results but use what you learned to go back better next year. Write your goals down and ask yourself everyday, what will I do today to help me reach my goal? Get 1% better everyday. 💪🏼 #GrizzlyWay #VAbeachNationals #ProudCoaches
