Two years post Harvey. I wish I could say that things are “back to normal.” Things have definitely changed in the best ways but sometimes I realize that things haven’t been set right yet. You’d think after a couple of years, they would be.
One of the things the storm made me leave behind was dancehousefitness. I had been going there for 2 weeks back in 2017 before the storm and then I had to quit. 
One of my big goals was to go back but it never seemed possible.
We didn’t have the money.
I didn’t have the time.
I had gained weight.
I wasn’t as good of a dancer anymore.
What if I sucked?
Being in nicholeplayford’s #LetsBeBasic class made me have so. much. fun. Doing something I’ve always loved to do. .
I was so nervous about today. I couldn’t stop thinking about, “what if I’m bad at this?” i Messaged Niki before our class and I was so relieved to see that she was looking forward to seeing me as much as I was looking forward to seeing her. That’s what family feels like.
