"First and foremost, I love that UC San Diego offers over 100 majors to choose from. While applying for college, I knew that I was interested in learning pretty much everything from STEM subjects to psychology to political science, so choosing one major was kind of a nightmare. However, after doing some research, I discovered that UC San Diego has one of the best cognitive science programs in the country with top-notch professors. This program offers specializations in about 10 different areas, including computer science, psychology and neuroscience, so I knew that this program would be the perfect fit for me. Anyone interested in research, regardless of the subject, can find a project that interests them. 

In such a big school, I never feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of students because UC San Diego has seven colleges where I could build my own community. Even though I commute, I am able to get involved in some of UC San Diego’s hundreds of student-run organizations such as Speech and Debate and StRIVE. Anyone can find a club that suits their interests, and that makes it so much easier to explore my interests."
