Championships Day 1 started strong! 

All three heptathletes rank in the top 8 going into day 2!

We have a lot of "Big-Q" energy winning the game of securing prelim to final advances by jenna_oriani , alana.springer , and sarah2mahn (200m/1500m). 

A lot of freshmen & sophomore personal bests and top-15th place efforts (moving up the rankings they came in at!) at championship season for their first time at a MAC championship outdoor track meet and growth via execution on the day from lindleysteele (200m), leilamolitor (400H), jessicaavelez (10k)!

Huge applause on SIX x 200m personal best marks yesterday by jenelle_r_17 griffithcharity lindleysteele alana.springer jenna_oriani leamdfitness !!! The 200 by the heps inspired the open 200 squad just a few hours later!

matthew___bigelow has done a fantastic job in building our heptathletes: 
All 3 of our Multis represented in the top 5 in the shot put and top-5 in the 200m.
All 3 of our Heps represented in the top-8 of the high jump and top-5 of the 100mHurdles. 
Bravo, Coach & Athletes alike! 
They are in 1st, 2nd, and 7th going into day 2 of the heptathlon. All three had a season best or pB in open javelin yesterday as well!
