#ProPanther Update: Former Panther, Mike Franco (‘14) had himself a solid 2018 performance. After spending only 12 games with (AA) affiliate, Montgomery Biscuits; Franco was promoted to (AAA) Durham Bulls where he averaged just over one strike out per inning; holding batters to a stellar .210 batting average through 62.2 IP! 
Career accolades include: 
1 x Southern League All Star 
1 x Tampa Bay Rays MinorLeague.com All Star 
In his last season at FIU, Franco dominated collegiate hitting; posting a 1.09 ERA in 99.0 IP. He started 15 games; went 9-3; including 2 complete game shutouts. He currently holds the single season ERA record (1.09) in 50-100 IP. Not to mention a strikeout machine with (112) in 2014.
