#ad Ok, hear me out. Pecan pie is great and all. But pecan pie BROWNIES? Even better!! They’re rich and fudgy and loaded with heaps of chocolate chips, toasted pecans and a luscious homemade salted caramel. Brownies are always an eggcellent idea (see what I did there?) and these irresistible brownies are the perfect addition to your turkey day table.

Wanna know the secret to the world’s best brownies? It’s all in the eggs. Three eggs to be exact. These brownies bake up not too dense, not too cakey and perfectly fudgy every single time. Grab an extra carton of eggs and add these to the tippy top of your holiday baking list. Thank me later friends. But first, drop evvvrryyything and make these brownies!!! incredibleegg #EggceptionalHolidays

Recipe:
1/4 cup (57 g) unsalted butter
1/4 cup neutral oil
1 cup (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
3 large eggs, room temp
3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
1/4 cup (50 g) light brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup (95 g) all purpose flour
1/4 cup (27 g) Dutch process cocoa powder, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided
1/2 cup chocolate chips, semisweet or bittersweet, divided
1/3 cup homemade salted caramel*

Preheat oven to 350. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter, oil and chocolate in microwave or over double boiler until melted and smooth. Set aside.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt. Set aside.
Whisk together eggs and sugar until foamy, about 1 minute. Add vanilla.
Pour in melted chocolate and butter mixture and whisk to combine.
Add dry ingredients and stir. Do not over mix.
Pour 2/3 of batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with 1/2 of pecans and chocolate chips. Drizzle half of caramel over chips + nuts. Add remaining batter on top.
