Meet Mycherie Onwuzuruike! Mycherie is a junior and is majoring in sport management! She hopes to one day work “on an NBA sports marketing team and be a track coach, by God’s grace.” Mycherie currently sprints and long jumps for swutrack. She is also a member of swustudentactivities, the president and founder of the swumulticultural club, recently just started working with SWU’s Office of Marketing, and our current Student Body Chaplain.

✌️This week is national be kind to humankind week. What are some ways we can be kind to others? “Going around joyously greeting people and complimenting them, and asking how their day was is a huge step! Doing some acts of services, even if it’s just buying a friend a cup of coffee or holding the door with a smile.  It’s the little things in life that makes a huge difference in someone else’s life.”

💙What is your favorite part about SWU?
“That’s a trick question 😂 because there are so many great things. From the SWU atmosphere, to the teachers and my major, faculty and staff, coaches, and etc haha. SWU isn’t just a typical college campus; you can feel the presence of God by just walking around campus. I’ve grown in every aspect of my life since I’ve been here. Signing with SWU was one of the best decisions of my life and I thank God for it!”

“Blueberry lemonade(extra lemonade), with 4 pumps of mango! “

🗣What’s a fun fact about you that most people may not know?
“When I’m at the store with my family I randomly start saying weird stuff out loud to embarrass them in public. I also love Afrobeat(African) dancing and Captain America 😎”

Mycherie made it to Nationals for long jump last year, but that competition did not end up happening in the face of COVID. Let’s cheer her on this year! Show some love for this super Warrior ✊
