On this Veterans Day we at themainemag take a moment of pause to say thank you to all who have served. 

Photographed here is one of our Mainers of the Year, Bill Benson, a 24-year Army veteran and the executive director of boots2roots, a nonprofit whose mission is to prepare active duty military members and their families to live and work in Maine while transitioning to civilian life.
