#CaptureWednesdays: “I’ve worked in oyster aquaculture across New England for 5 years, doing everything from building cages to delivering oysters to market. Recently, I’ve focused more on research opportunities within the industry, and supporting my good friends ladyshuckers whenever I can. A mobile raw bar and special event catering company, Lady Shuckers is also invested in amplifying the voices of females and minorities on the working waterfront. Women-owned and operated, they source primarily from female-run sea farms, and co-sponsor cross-sector partnerships with local businesses to increase representation while helping to shape a narrative of diversity and inclusion for the aquaculture industry.” Photo and words by ashleycharleson. ⁠
