When the apostle Paul wrote this in the 1st century, things looked bleak.  Yet, Christ, through the disciples, was on the verge of turning that bleak world upside down!  Christ is present in the 21st century and His ability to change things is undiminished.  No matter how you have lived to this point – you can make a new start
