Two people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Austin. City officials including Mayor Steve Adler, Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt and Austin Public Health interim authority Dr. Mark Escott gathered to deliver the news at an early morning news conference Friday, March 13, 2020. Escott said Travis County’s two presumptive cases of COVID-19 are a man in his 60s who is being hospitalized, and a woman in her 30s who has isolated herself at home.
