Tai Tedder, 17, cries as her mother, Shana Tedder, is posthumously awarded a Star of Texas Award during a ceremony  at the Capitol on Tuesday September 11, 2018.  Shana Tedder was a corrections officer who died in the line of duty in Gatesville in 2017.  Awards were given to 46 peace officers, firefighters, and first responders for extraordinary valor. #statesmanphoto by jayjanner
