Within a few years, this variety was nearly all anyone grew in North Carolina.

 By 2017, the amount of sweet potatoes grown in #NorthCarolina had nearly doubled and the state had reclaimed its place as the leading producer of sweet potatoes in the United States after years where the crop had been on the decline. #NationalSweetPotatoMonth 🍠
