My experience at NCState has been nothing short of amazing. From the noon football games, to the late nights at Hill, I wouldn’t change anything about this #university. NC State, you have cultivated me to become such a driven and passionate student, leader, friend, and member of the Pack. You have given me relationships that I will cherish forever. You have pushed me and challenged me in ways I am thankful for. You have helped me to embrace my #Latin culture, and have given me a community where I can connect to my beautiful people. As a first generation #Latina in the #AnimalScience program, it wasn’t easy. Pero entre los Latinos se puede!

It wasn’t supposed to end this way, and my final semester took a turn that myself and my fellow graduates did not anticipate for even a second. We had to say goodbye way too soon and we had “lasts” without even knowing it was the last. But that’s what makes us the Class of 2020: strong, #resilient, and inspirational. We adapted quickly and we came together as a Pack in a time of distance. Even while being apart, I continued to feel connected as we didn’t let this pandemic separate our community. And for that, I am so grateful.
