In tough times, we always have to remember what we're #grateful for, and #animalscience senior Noelle Hoehn (NJHoehn) has a lot she's thankful for. ⬇️

This last year has not gone as planned. The fall semester brought its challenges and I had to keep my head up and keep reaching for my goals. Obviously, the spring semester didn't end the way I wanted but it's important to look at the #brightside. I still talk to my friends and I still have the opportunity to work from home (academically and for NCStateWellRec). Overall this year has been a whirlwind; it threw me some curveballs but it was still fun.

I am most grateful for the faculty, specifically those in animal science! They have been with me through thick and thin! They've helped me with course information, finding internships and even helped me to find the right career path. They are always there to support students however they can.

I came into college thinking "VET SCHOOL" but now I am considering other options. Of course I still would love to go to vet school (and I might) but I also want to explore Ph.D. programs. It is okay to change your mind.

My current goal is to become a lab animal veterinarian. My goal is to be a part of vital biomedical research by caring for those animals involved. Along the way, I hope to educate the public about the truths and myths of #lab animal care. — Noelle Hoehn #NCState20 #TeacherAppreciationDay
