President Emeritus Dr. John A. Peoples Jr., now 94, was the president of Jackson State College at the time of the #GibbsGreen tragedy. Fifty-one years later, he returned to the Gibbs/Green Memorial Plaza to deliver a heartfelt address during the Class of 1970’s long-awaited commencement ceremony.
