Jackson State University’s very own marching band, the Sonic Boom of the South (SonicBoom_OTS), has just made history at Jackson State University. The Boom’s halftime field show performance during the New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons has been selected for showing at the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Southern Conference.

This will be JSU’s first time participating in the conference, founded in 1941, and the university is the only historically black college selected this year.
