This black looking piece of meat is a Bay Area classic. Schaubs Meat and Fish in Palo Alto marinades these and you can buy em ready to cook. I tried this copycat recipe and although it isn’t 100% there, it was still amazingly good. Next time I’ll do more coffee.

The flavors, smells and color on this bad boy were unlike anything I’ve had before and I can’t wait to do it again 💯🔥

Recipe:

1/2 cup brewed coffee
1 cup red wine
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup molasses
1/3 cup Balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup Tamari sauce
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons garlic pepper 
🙌🏾 combine and marinade for 4-5 days, cook to your liking and enjoy!!
