Hola amigos! It’s been a while, and I wanted to say hola! For those of you who don’t know me… My name is Yvette and I’m the home cook and blogger behind muybuenocookbook.com and social media pages. I developed Muy Bueno in 2010 with one thing in mind: To share my recipes with others. From my plate, to yours. 

Just as my grandma used to invite people to her kitchen table to sit down and eat, I want to do the same (virtually). My grandma used to say, “Siéntate a comer, esta muy bueno” (Sit down and eat, it’s very good). 

I’m from El Paso, Texas and my grandma was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. I am a second-generation Mexican-American. I have so many fond memories sitting in my grandmas cozy cocina.

Here on Muy Bueno, I share a collection of traditional Mexican recipes. These are my precious family’s recipes that have been passed down through generations. I also share modern Latin-fusion recipes that I have developed. Thanks to my grandma, who I know is watching over me, I feel that maybe, just maybe, she whispers a few words of encouragement into my ears to help me find my way around la cocina and turn out a recipe worthy of her praise.

I wanted to thank everyone who has followed my journey, y bienvenidos to anyone who is new to my virtual home. There is nothing that brings me more joy than reading all your lovely comments and stories of making my recipes. YES, I read every single comment (even the not so nice comments). I might not have the time to reply to them all, but please know I do read them. 

Please don’t be a stranger. Let me know when you make my recipes and share your stories with me. And if you don’t have something nice to say, maybe don’t say anything at all.
