Never in a million years could I have predicted I’d be cooking and sharing the recipes I grew up eating. As a matter of fact — I truly did not want anything to do with cooking. I didn’t want to be “stuck in the kitchen”. That’s how I always saw my grandma and my mom — always en la cocina. When I became a mother, I realized the meals I made, were made con mucho amor just like all the meals I ate as a child made by my grandma and mom. Now, I can’t imagine my life outside la cocina. No one ever thought to make a living at [food] in those days. The thought never entered my mind. Now my passion for Mexican food has opened so many amazing opportunities thanks to the food blog world and social media. I am blessed to share my recipes not only with my immediate family, but with all of you who have followed my food journey. I am beyond grateful for all your kind comments and messages. Thank you for your support and opening your hearts to sharing your special food memories and to opening your cocina to make the recipes I share. I am thankful to YOU who support me, uplift me, comfort me, and bring joy to my soul. May you all enjoy Christmas making food memories and traditions.
