Happy Earth Day! Did you know cartons like those used for milk, juice, and broth are recyclable? Today I toured Alpine's Altogether Recycling Facility with recycle_cartons and learned that even though you don’t see this symbol ♻️ on cartons they are ALL still recyclable!! I also learned cartons are recycled to make products like tissue, paper, and even building materials. Interesting right? Let’s take care of Mother Earth and recycle not only cartons, but paper, aluminum, cardboard, glass, and plastic. Watch my instastories to see the hardworking folks and the innovation that goes on behind the scenes at a recycling facility. Get educated — understand what you can and can’t recycle. Even though you think you are doing good, like trying to recycle plastic bags you end up doing more harm than good. It's not that used plastic bags and wraps can't be recycled – they simply require a different collection system and processing equipment than many curbside recycling programs provide. So please don't put plastic bags and wraps in your curbside bin if your recycling. Together, we can change how much waste goes into a landfill. 🌎 #recycleyourcartons #earthday #spon
