On Wednesday Netflix employees staged a walkout after Dave Chappelle made transphobic comments in his controversial new comedy special “The Closer.”

They're demanding Netflix:
🔷adds disclaimers to such content
🔷hires trans/nonbinary ppl to exec roles
🔷creates a fund to support trans/nonbinary talent

Hours before the walkout occurred Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, admitted he “screwed up” in his handling of the situation, saying “I should have recognized the fact that a group of our employees was really hurting.”
