The Ambush trailed early after getting outscored 3-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter was more friendly to the squad, trading goals 2 for 2 with the Comets. Entering the second half down 5-2, the Ambush fought back in what was a fast and furious third quarter, outscoring the Comets 2-1. Kansas City tallied a late power play & empty net goal to pull away, while the Ambush added a 6th attacker goal. When all was said and done, the Comets walked away with the 8-5 win.
