The Miners defeated the Trois-Rivières Aigles, 6-5, in a wild and exciting game at skylandsstadium. In the bottom of the ninth, the scored was tied with two on and two out when pitcher Kenny Koplove was called upon to pinch hit for closer Alex Demchak. In his Miners debut at the plate, Kenny cooly slapped a single into right field for the win and was the unlikely hero!
