🎣I keep chuckling every time I see young people wearing this hat…is this a cool thing now? The first picture is me at 18. Random fun fact about me…I started fishing at age 5 with my step father and later competed in bass tournaments growing up. They had to change the name from “man and son” to “man and kid” because I was one of the only girls at that time and space competing that I know of🤣. I was really good…maybe just lucky. 

I drove the boat all of the time and knew how to use the navigation and fish finder. I had a pet catfish at one point. I spent almost every weekend in the summer on the boat. This also started my love of metal flake paint and glitter! All of my baits had to have glitter ✨ As I got older I was allowed to back the truck and trailer up to launch the boat which was almost a right of passage…at 14 😆😳. My sister worked at Bass Pro. I would spend hours in the front yard practicing perfecting my cast throughout elementary school. My first pole had Snoopy on it.  We would set up targets for me to aim towards. I enjoyed night fishing under the stars for catfish bigger than me and camping. Don’t forget the moon pies! 

These were actual happy times for me…which is why I still get excited going to Bass Pro even though I haven’t fished in ages. I keep forgetting how this was such a huge part of my life. I was always outside without shoes on. 

I’m am absolutely terrified of boating now. I use parts of spinner baits on my burlesque pasties and giggle just picturing them underwater tempting the fish🐟
