This is Kristen borderfreetravels taking over📷After living on an island for nine years, I've learned you can't control the weather...but you can control how much enjoyment a gray or rainy day can truly bring you if you plan correctly. In theouterbanksnc on one overcast afternoon, KirstenAlana and I had treatments at the Aqua Day Spa. The massage rooms, and the lounge area, have these beautiful oversized windows which overlook the peaceful harbor. And binoculars to peer out with!
I loved the EminenceOrganics products in the Soundside Signature Facial. The plant-based skincare line is made in Hungary. My facial began with a chamomile cleanser (which I really needed to calm my skin from the being out in the sun the day prior) followed by exfoliation with a strawberry rhubarb dermafoliant. I learned about a new product (I think I'll get soon for travel) for stone crop hydrating mist (toner). Next, a sugar plum facial oil and acai mask followed by a foot massage. And before I left my esthetician applied a tropical vanilla day cream with zinc for spf. 
kirstenalana got the Maritime Massage & Martini. Yep. It comes with a cocktail post massage. A great place to pamper yourself with some peace and quiet if you're in #Duck. What brings you joy on a rainy or gray day?
