"In this current moment in time and fast pace society, we as humans are forced to focus on so many things. It's until our health is jeopardized that you realize what’s most important. For me, when I broke my foot and I couldn’t play basketball, I then understood the importance of my health.

It’s a blessing to be able to play the sport that I love. When a player is not taking things such as injury prevention, stretching, diet and hydration seriously, they are taking their opportunity for granted.

When my passion was taken away from me it changed my level of focus on and off the court. I realized how bad I wanted to make basketball my career and how important it was to set up a back up plan.

As a pro athlete, through my actions I try to show everyone, especially the youth, that it’s deeper than me just playing the sport that I love. I exemplify relentless determination.
