#SummerXMoody: This PR student is far from home in McKinney, TX. Pierson Livingston is studying and working in Los Angeles through the utlaprogram. "I applied to UTLA because this program allowed me to take UT classes in the field that I am interested in, learn from industry experts, work in the music industry, and experience what it is like to live in LA." Pierson is exploring the city, hiking, relaxing at the beach, and taking in all the different things that California has to offer. 

Livingston is a publicity intern with atlanticrecords. He works on press for cutting-edge artists and has been helping with coverage for the barbie movie soundtrack. "I have learned a lot about how the press and the media interact with the entertainment industry. I have also learned a lot about where my specific interest lies in the industry and what I want to do after graduation." At his internship, Livingston has applied the PR skills he learned from #TEXASMoody, from communicating effectively, writing techniques and speaking at meetings. "The PR skill I have used the most in my internship is knowing how to analyze press coverage and interpret its impact properly."

He's at UTLA because he can learn from industry experts! "UTLA has been awesome so far. I have met some cool people and attended fun events through the program, like going to the BET awards or getting tours of film and music studios. I also love the classes I am in because I am learning practical skills I can use after graduation."
