#SummerXMoody: Talk about goals! utexascld student Adriana Villalvazo is traveling throughout Europe this summer, taking classes, working a remote internship and backpacking with friends. She is studying UK Education Systems at Oxford University. 

This program has taught her the value of independence, such as navigating the European public transit system and communicating with the people you love. "As a Latina woman who graduated from a low-income high school, this trip allowed me to reflect on my educational journey and grow a deep appreciation for landing at The University of Texas at Austin." 

Villalvazo has been leveraging networking skills she learned in her CLD courses to build connections and explore cities with ease. "Through communication and networking, a simple conversation on a train ride can lead to new friendships and the exchange of experiences and knowledge." 

A fun fact about Adriana is that she's learning to surf this summer. Her summer soundtrack artists have been The Beatles and Fleet Foxes. Are you learning something new this summer?
