Last week, flutist Nicole Mitchell (blackearthmuse) and clarinetist Angel Bat Dawid (angeltheoracle) shared a double bill as part of our #AfrofuturismFestival.

Mitchell and her Black Earth Ensemble performed “Xenogenesis Suite,” inspired by renowned Afrofuturist author Octavia E. Butler.

Dawid joined forces with lufuki_detroit and Dr. Adam Zanolini to form Autophysiopsychic Millennium, exploring the performance methodology of Dr. Yusef Lateef.
