On this day in 1864, conductor and composer Richard Strauss was born in Munich. Strauss first performed at #CarnegieHall in 1904, conducting the Wetzler Symphony Orchestra. He went on to perform at Carnegie Hall an additional 7 times, including appearances with The PhilOrch and the nyphilharmonic. ⁠
