Comedian and counterculture icon Lenny Bruce gave a midnight performance at #CarnegieHall on February 4, 1961. Despite a blizzard and driving ban that evening, nearly 3,000 people showed up for the performance. The entire concert recording (cover seen here) was released as an LP by United Artists following Bruce’s death in 1966. #TBT #1960sNYC
