On September 29, 1947, Ella Fitzgerald performed with Dizzy Gillespie and His Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. The concert also featured a reunion of Gillespie's famous quintet with alto saxophonist Charlie Parker. This June we celebrate #AfricanAmericanMusicAppreciationMonth.
