## Caption

Andrew Carnegie was born 180 years ago today, in 1835, in Dunfermline, Scotland. Fifty-six years later, he founded Carnegie Hall. During this time of year for giving thanks, we are grateful for his legacy and building our world-renowned house of music.

Andrew Carnegie is pictured with his wife, Louise, in Scotland.
