Today we debut the Artemis I rocket.

Today, March 17, at 5 p.m. EDT, we will begin rolling the integrated Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft to launchpad 39B for the final prelaunch test.

Teams assembled the vehicle that will pave the way for long-term lunar exploration inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASAKennedy Space Center in Florida. 

The journey to the launchpad will take 4 miles (6.4 km) and is expected to take between six and 12 hours. At the pad, NASA will conduct a wet dress rehearsal, during which teams will load the rocket with fuel and conduct a launch countdown. Following a successful test, teams will announce a launch date for #Artemis I.
