Will you catch a glimpse of the Winter Moon? ❄️

The next full Moon will be on Saturday night, Dec. 18, 2021, at 11:36 p.m. EST. Most commercial calendars will show this full Moon on Sunday, Dec. 19 because they are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The Moon will appear full for three days around this time, from Friday evening through Monday morning, making this a full Moon weekend.

According to the Maine Farmers' Almanac, a full Moon in December is called the Cold Moon due to the long, cold nights. Other names are the Frost Moon, for the frosts as winter nears, or the Winter Moon.
